Regarding the items listed below, please contact the museum.
1) Historical Materials
Items for the collection - Do you have an item or items that represent Lane County history?
Click here for the form to use if you wish to make a donation of a historical item.
You may also email or phone the museum. Please be patient as most of our staff is part-time and we normally consult with one another before accepting or rejecting offers of artifacts, papers, or photographs. We will advise you when and if it is appropriate to bring an item(s) in for inspection by staff.
Digital photos help the decision-making process as well as an accurate description of what condition the item(s) is/are in.
Remember that the Museum has limited storage space and limited environmental controls. Rust and mold are both difficult to deal with.
The museum is now accepting donations of digital photo images which document Lane County history to add to our photograph collection. Publication and ownership rights and privileges must transfer to the museum with the images. If you are interested in donating digital images under these provisions, contact the archives at (541) 682-4242.
